Here’s the synopsis from Fox for Bones, Season 5 Episode 8:The Foot in the Foreclosure:
“Booth’s grandfather (guest star Ralph Waite) comes to live with him and tags along as Brennan and Booth investigate human remains that were found by a real estate agent while showing a property to prospective buyers.”
Desperation is the name of the real estate sales game these days as a tough business gets down right cut-throat… so to speak.
A real estate agent is showing a house and talks to her prospects of a motivated seller as the owner’s wife had passed away, but the sale falls apart when the prospects notice a foot in the middle of a burned mattress that is covered in ashes.
In Bones SE0508, we get to meet “Pops,” who is Booth’s grandfather.
Pops raised Booth when he found out that his own son was an alcoholic and being abusive to Booth.
Pops has recently been living in a nursing home but left after he slugged a male nurse.
Through Bones S05E08, Booth and Brennan will go back and forth as to whether or not Pops should be going straight back to the nursing home and are struggling with the aloof attitude of the real estate agent.
You know Booth loves to be the hero and help people so guess which side each of them is taking.
They also meet a victim’s roommate who has ample reason to kill her.
As the owner of the house is elderly, Booth is more inclined to support and look out for him against the cold real estate agent as the man’s predicament seems to be hitting close to home.
There’s a very emotional reason that, even with all of the space in that house, the crime took place in the bed.
