The season premier of Ghost Whisperer Season 5 episode 1, entitled Birthday Presence, we find Melinda and Jim’s “new” baby is Aiden (Connor Gibbs).
Now the show is running on a new track – far from the life of the original Ghost Whisperer himself – and has jumped 5 years into the future. Sam is now re-inventing himself as a physician.
Flashback to 5 years ago… Amber Heaton is a woman in her early 20’s who died during childbirth. While the baby, Tyler, survived and was adopted, Amber thinks the child’s body died and his soul is now in Aiden’s body and haunts him every year on his birthday.
Dale Harmon is the executive type that got her pregnant during a one-night stand, and wants to adopt the baby to raise with his wife.
Emily Harmon is Dale’s loving wife. Their marriage reached a crisis point when Dale had a one-night stand with Amber five years ago. This was complicated by the fact that Emily had trouble getting pregnant. Eventually, Emily found the compassion to forgive Dale and has raised Tyler like her own son.
