The third episode of Ghost Whisperer, Season 5, Episode 3 called Till Death Do Us Start introduces Eli’s father, Ray (Barry Newman) who recently passed away from heart attack.
Before he died he would still allow himself a cocktail everyday as he held on to the “good old days”. He and his friend, Don (Barry Bostwick), were the co-owners and founders of a screen door store in Grandview.
Eli’s mother, Evelyn (Christine Estabrook) is also introduced.
She died 10 years ago from a brain aneurysm. Melinda has a vision regarding her cause of death, provoking questions when it all appears more complicated that then original explanation that was given.
The James’ owned a picturesque lake home that they stayed at every Summer.
This episode also introduces Casey, the daughter of family friends of the James’. Growing up with Eli, Casey has always his a huge crush on him.
