In Ghost Whisperer season 5, episode 4 entitled, Do Over, we see a Ghost Nurse is bustling through the hallways in preparation for an upcoming surgery. She assures the Dr Charles that everything is ready, but is shocked when the procedure turns into a deadly disaster.
Dr Charles died back in the 1950s of a heart attack. Now he haunts the hospital where he worked and is constantly repeating the same surgery he was performing at the time of his death.
We also meet Bill, an older gentleman in his early to mid 60s but is also very fit and active. He has lived life to the fullest ever since he had a life-threatening hole in his heart repaired when he was 15 years old. He is a loving grandfather to young Paul.
Paul is Bill’s 17-year-old grandson who is getting initiated into the cool gang at his school by taking a dare that thug Jimmy is testing him with – to spend 15 minutes in the hospital morgue drawer.
Horrified when he encounters a ghost during his prank, Paul starts screaming. When Jimmy hears him, he tries to open the drawer, and when he fails, he panics and runs away.
Paul is later questioned by Melinda about his encounter with the ghost of a man in his 20’s who clearly is in agony. Paul admits to her that he is pretending to be tough as an attempt to fit in at his new school.
Paul is really an exceptionally gifted student with a soaring I.Q..
When Grandpa Bill finally shares his past ordeal with him, Paul finds the inner resolve to give up his tough guy image and live life on his own terms.
Delia is having a first date lunch with a handsome and well-dressed attorney named Roger, at an Italian restaurant Delia frequents.The attractive but slightly odd and strangely nervous maitre d’ spills wine on Delia — causing her date, Roger, to turn hostile and he angrily berates him. This is a huge turnoff to Delia and she writes him off.
