This is the write-up by CBS for Ghost Whisperer, Season 5 Episode 8 entitled Dead Listing:
Melinda is involved in a murder mystery when a ghost leads her to his own corpse.
The deceased was a powerful real estate broker named Kirk (was Dale in earlier casting calls) and the promos for SE0508 would lead you to believe that it’s his wife, Rita, also a ruthless real estate broker, that’s behind his demise.
We’ve come to learn by now that what the ghost knows is usually only half the story (if they knew it all, they would probably have already crossed over). While the couple were involved in an fugly divorce, it’s unlikely that the reason for Dale’s untimely death falls completely on Rita’s shoulders.
Could Javier, a real estate “dabbler” hold the key to their hostilities?
Plus, last we saw University President Bedford, he was letting on that he knew more about the Book, Eli and Melinda, than anyone ever knew… but he was having issues with some entity messing with his bed-ridden mother’s life-support machines. Will we be seeing some sort of continuation of that spooky stuff this week in Dead Listing?
We’re also looking for what kind of repercussions the Watchers face when going against the wishes of the Shadow People. It isn’t looking good for anyone who crosses or just stands up to them.
Also in Ghost Whisperer SE0508, keep a look out for a private investigator named Nick. He could prove to be a recurring character that might be pivotal in the season’s overall arc.
