We have three different write-ups for Ghost Whisperer: Season 5 Episode 9 entitled Lost in the Shadows:
- Melinda and Jim face a parent’s worst nightmare when their son Aiden disappears.
- When the ghost of a little girl attaches herself to Aiden, Melinda fears that this new friend is luring him to trouble.
- When the ghost of a little girl who passed away from leukemia befriends Aiden and threatens Melinda to stay out of her way, Melinda worries for her son’s safety.
Well, that pretty much sums it up.
Aiden has shown quite a talent for communicating with spirits, both friendly and those of the suspicious sort.
These spirits show him things and help him out when he needs a “wow” factor in his magic act.
It really annoys Melinda because she can’t see everything Aiden sees and knows there are bad things hiding in the shadows but she doesn’t have a clue yet as to how to protect him.
Now, on Ghost Whisperer SE0509, Melinda and Jim have faced the oddest of all things you could talk about with your kids.
They have already told him he’s different like his Mom is different, but it isn’t alright to tell people and it also isn’t polite to cheat with the help of a ghost.
Do they now have to tell him to be careful because there could be monsters under his bed?
On S05E09, it would never have occurred to me that a ghost would want to hide in the closet (which is where Aiden finds her at the end of Dead Listing) but that’s exactly what his new friend wants to do.
Is she afraid of someone she knew when she was alive, or is there something more sinister going on here?
The promos for Lost in the Shadows show Melinda and Jim frantically searching for Aiden and it would seem that his little ghost friend is leading him on a path that would put him in harm’s way… but could she really be trying to lead him away to protect him from something else?
Shadows are nasty things in this show.
