Here’s what the CBS press release for Ghost Whisperer: Season 5 Episode 10 entitled Excessive Forces says:
When the ghost of a high school boy accuses a Grandview cop of murdering him, Melinda is convinced that his death wasn’t a mere skateboarding accident.
“Killer with a badge,” as the ghost calls him is nothing new in cinema and are we really fooled by preview editing any more?
Melinda’s ghost friends seem to have cornered the market on “bad attitude”. Maybe it’s because they’ve just been murdered, but they do seem to have distorted views of their own passing. What do we know about our man in blue here in Ghost Whisperer S05E10 who has taken the oath to, ‘Protect and Serve’?
Well, for one thing, when it comes to his own daughter, he’s protective to a fault.
This not only irks his daughter, but has a tendency to push her in the polar opposite direction of his wishes (teens are like that).
So how does this ghost fit into Excessive Forces?
We know his father was an abusive alcoholic and that paints the picture of a huge misunderstanding between a teen feeling anger and helplessness and a cop who only sees the anger… and perhaps too much interest in his daughter?
Friends of the opposite sex are always “boyfriends,” to dear old gun-carrying Dad.
So what else is going on here?
Guilt-ridden teens. A crisis at the High School has the Guidance Counselor overworked as well as the usual “underpaid.”
It would seem a little tiresome to think that every teenager on a skateboard is rebellious, especially when some of them grow up to be professionals with families, but I guess we’ll just have to go with the flow on Ghost Whisperer, SE0510.
Ghost Whisperer, Season 5 Episode 10: Excessive Forces is scheduled to air Friday, December 4th on CBS.
