This is TV Guide’s description of Grey’s Anatomy: Season 6 Episode 7 entitled “Give Peace a Chance”:
“Give Peace a Chance” – When Isaac, the hospital lab tech, has an inoperable tumor wrapped around his spine, he turns to Dr. Derek Shepherd to do the impossible, and Derek tests the Chief’s authority when Richard objects to moving forward with the risky surgery, on “Grey’s Anatomy.”
It’s to be expected that Derek and the Chief are going to start battling head-on.
Derek felt slighted that he wasn’t the obvious choice as next-in-line when the Chief tried to step down in order to salvage his personal life.
Derek’s a little snot anyway but I guess he would refer to it as, “self-confidence.”
You have to be arrogant to sit in the big chair so I guess I’ll give him a pass.
The Give Peace a Chance title gives the impression that the antagonistic attitudes post the Mercy-Seattle Grace merger will continue but it could also imply that something beyond their control could move them towards acceptance of the situation.
Maybe at Derek’s challenge of allowing chaos to rule the staff, the Chief will finally start to rein in their attitudes and restore order.
Don’t expect to see too much of Bailey this week as Grey’s SE0607 is directed by Chandra Wilson.
