The Unborn Spoiler

The Unborn Spoiler with Odette Yustman

I know this movie came out a while ago but just incase you haven’t seen it and you want to read The Unborn spoiler instead of watching the movie, keep reading.

As you may know, The Unborn is a horror, well, a supernatural thriller movie that is based on a malevolent spirit that refused to leave the human world and basically takes over bodies which leads to the legend of a dybbuk.

Casey Beldon (played by the beautiful Odette Yustman) whom is the main character starts to see strange visions that include weird looking dogs and an evil child spirit/ghost with bright blue eyes.

After Casey’s eyes begin to change colors from brown to blue in one eye, she finds out that usually happens when they have/had a twin.

Casey asks her father about it when she’s told her twin brother died in the womb. Of course, putting a bunch of pieces together, she suspects that the evil child spirit she keeps seeing has to do with that.

The Dybbuk is trying to be reborn so it can transfer into the world of the living and that is why Casey keeps seeing the evil child everywhere she goes.

After further investigation, Casey meets a woman named Sofi which she thought was a crazy woman in a nursing home. But she found her based on a letter she found from her dead mother that had her name on it circled.

Soon Casey found out Sofi was actually her grandmother and also explains that Sofi had a twin brother who was killed in a Nazi experiment when they were both children.

Sofi’s twin brother was then brought back to life by the dybbuk who was using the boy’s body as a portal to the world of the living. Sofi realized that was not her twin brother so she killed him. And ever since, the dybbuk not haunts her and her entire family for revenge.

Sofi refers Casey to a Rabbi Sendak (played by Gary Oldman) who knows how to perform Jewish exorcism to potentially remove the dybbuk permanently. Of course, as the exorcism is being performed, the dybbuk tries to do everything they can to prevent it from being complete.

Soon after when we all think the exorcism is completed and after the death of Casey’s boyfriend, the dybbuk disappears.

Of course, at the very end of the movie, Casey becomes pregnant. And the last scene is her in the hospital finding out she is having twins. You also see the sonogram of the two babies with one of them seeming to try to strangle the other with the unbiblical cord.

I guess that leaves room for The Unborn 2 if it comes out!
